GRADE 2 LISTED MANSION BLOCK
Refurbishment of the communal areas within a prestigious art deco mansion block in London. The client’s brief was to sympathetically update the common parts, served by seven separate entrances and staircases set across 6,500 sq. ft. The specification included replacement flooring, redecoration works, upgraded lighting and the addition of decorative elements.
The vision for the project was to design a space that would capture the elegance of living in a prestigious apartment block, where residents would feel like they had stepped into a luxury hotel every time they returned home.
The interior design scheme included a neutral colour palette with a contrasting colour for specific architectural accent features, alongside softer textures and warm metals such as brass and bronze. The project features a number of bespoke elements, based on my own designs, including a geometric patterned carpet, decorative brass grilles in a coquille motif, bronze tinted mirrors with brilliant cut chevron detailing and flat numbering and signage in a stylised font.
The finished project boasts communal interiors that are stylish, inviting and comfortable for residents.
